Rachel is currently the music director at her church, as well as finds time to perform in the local Fernandina community.

For the past 10 years, she has participated in various piano adjudications, masterclasses and competitions. Most recently, she won 3rd place in the Alliance of Christian Musicians competition and honorable mention in the Gig Harbor State Recitalist competition (2018). In 2016, she had the honor of representing the Gig Harbor chapter at the Washington State MTA conference at Whitman college. Other achievements include 2nd place in the Young Artist Piano competition (2015 and 2017) and 1st place in the GHMTA Music Olympics (2011-2014). She has played for her church for several years and has been the accompanist for PLU's Knights Chorus directed by Barry Johnson.

A former member of the Washington State Music Teachers Association, Gig Harbor chapter, Rachel has been teaching piano for 10+ years. Her students have had the opportunity to participate in competitions, adjudications and recitals.

As a teacher, my goal is to instill in others a deep love and appreciation for music. Music brings so much joy and has a great capacity to touch the lives of others. My desire is to encourage students in their love of piano by helping them develop musicianship through diligent practice, technique work and performance opportunities.
