Studio Rates and Policies

Parents/Students

​

• Piano lessons are given on a weekly basis throughout the year. I accept students of all ages, from beginner to late intermediate. Lessons are located at my home studio.  Currently, I am only offering online lessons through Zoom. 

• Students are expected to be prepared at each lesson, demonstrate good practice habits throughout the week and keep track of their daily practice. Parents must be aware of practice requirements and ensure that they are met.

•  Parents are welcome to sit through lessons to keep track of the student's weekly assignments.

Missed/Canceled Lessons

• Students may cancel lessons at any time. If given at least 24-hour notice, missed lessons can be rescheduled as a make-up lessons. Students have until the end of June reschedule any lessons missed throughout the school year. Make-up lessons are not offered for lesson canceled with less than 24-hour notice, with the exception of illness/emergencies.

• Lessons canceled by the teacher will be rescheduled or credited, depending on availability.

• If student is sick, please cancel the lesson to prevent spreading the illness to others. Sickness is anything more than a slight cough/runny nose. 

• Lessons may be terminated at anytime. At least one month notice is required for terminations.

Vacations

​

• The studio takes one week off for Thanksgiving and two weeks off for Christmas. During the summer, an additional one to two weeks may be taken off at the discretion of teacher.

Rates

​

• Fees stay the same each month, regardless of whether there are more or less than 4 weeks in the month. 

• Payment should be made the first lesson of each month. A $15 late fee will be charged if payment is not received by the next lesson.

• The start up cost for lesson materials (including piano music, theory books, flashcards, ect.) is usually around $15-$25. Competitions, adjudications, and other events do have additional fees. These events are highly encouraged, but optional.
